The Greatest Reputation Guide in the World… Tribute
With new updates, Zones and Zone overhauls, just how can you get reputation with the various factions in Middle Earth? This guide is an attept to answer that question. It will deal with all factions in turn, with the exception of the Eldgang in the Rift. I have not included this as other than the Skirmish Assault at Nurz Gashu, I have never ventured into the Rift, and do not know how that faction works.
I have categorised each faction’s Reputation into sections, the Barterable Rep items and what they count for, Which mobs drop these items or if you gain reputation by defeating certain mobs, quests likely to result in increased reputation, whether its possible to craft reputation for that faction, if any deeds result in increased reputation on completion, if there are any Tasks which give rep on hand in (usually 300 Rep)and what level they can be accessed, if any skirmishes give reputation (note this is for the daily quest only), and also if gaining Kindred with the faction counts towards a Meta deed, such as World Renowned, resulting in the Steed of Eriador. I have also added in where appropriate if the Barter drop items are available to purchase with skirmish marks, and if so, how many are required.
Your Reputation with the various factions starts at Neutral, with the exception of the Lossoth of Forochel, where you start at Outsider, and have to work your way up to Neutral, which takes 10,000 Reputation.
- 0 = Neutral
- 10,000 = Acquaintance
- 20,000 = Friend
- 25,000 = Ally
- 30,000 = Kindred
The counter is reset after each level so it takes 85,000 Reputation to become Kindred (95,000 for the Lossoth) which is why on the whole I tend to avoid crafting my way to Kindred, unless I desperately need to level up a craft and have an awful lot of materials to spare (which is very rare.)
I have listed the factions in the order which they appear in my in-game deed log. Hope this is of use, and a gold star to anyone who gets the reference in the title!
Thanks,
Emma

Great Guide. I just sent a question off to A Casual Stroll to Mordor about Iron Garrison Guard rep. I wish I had read your guide first! Thanks for all the great work 🙂
However, I think the legendary traits are obtained through the Iron Garrison Guards instead of the Miners.
Thanks Atheor, yeah somehow the titles had got transposed for those two! Thanks for pointing it out, I also noticed that the legendary item repeatables at Dolven view were missed off too! Its something we’d like to expand further, but its such a lot of work, we thought it was better off out there for people to use such as it is, than wait wait to see if we ever finish it!
cheers
Adam
